points for additional activities: - Participating in a
district event (chuckwagon, scouting for food, camps, É) - Submitting an article to
the newsletter (at any time during the year a scout can write an article and
send it to Vince or Becky for publishing). Only one submission per month accepted. - Answering moderate
monthly challenges (those needing you to write a paragraph or article, but
not requiring a great deal of research). If a suitable response is not given
(not enough effort) then the scout will be awarded one point instead of two. The ages of the scouts will be taken
into consideration when reviewing these entries. - Participating in parades - Other activities of a
similar nature. |

News:
Tiger (Robin Curtis) The Tigers met on
September 22nd at Zion Lutheran Church. The Scouts went outside and collected leaves to use for
their leaf rubbing project. They
also began working on the requirements for their Bobcat Badge. Welcome to a new Tiger Alex P. The next meeting is Tuesday, October
13th, 6:30, Zion Lutheran Church. Wolf (Robert Pilsner) The Wolves met on October 6th
at Zion Lutheran Church. At the
meeting the Wolves completed their achievements for the flag (2) and
collecting (6), as well as practiced their song for the pack meeting. Ben was awarded the Spirit Staff this
meeting for participation and attention. Good job Ben! On October 18th
the Wolves will be going on a wagon ride and fishing. Meet at 12:00pm at Zion Lutheran
Church and bring a dish to pass (and your fishing gear). The next den
meeting is the first Tuesday in November, 6:00pm @ Zion Lutheran Church. Work on achievements 4, 7, and 9 at
home and be ready to talk about them at the meeting. Bear (Chuck Foley) The Bears met on September
30th at Klemme Reserve for a cook-out. They enjoyed pigs in a blanket cooked over the open fire
and the boys each made their own.
The boys went for a hike, discussed water safety, picked up trash, and
made sÕmores. A great time was
had by all! |
