Six
reasons to come to the November 27th meeting
LetÕs start off by reminding you of the change in the
date. We moved the meeting back
to the 27th to make it easier for the popcorn money
collection. We also changed the
start time to 6:30pm instead of 7:00pm.
If the majority of parents like this time better then 6:30pm will be
the norm.
If you ever needed a reason to come to a pack meeting, we
have some good ones for you this month!
- Pizza
– We are celebrating our popcorn sales by throwing a pizza party.
- Pie
throwing – We will try something a little different this year.
- Every
scout gets to throw a pie based on the following
i. $0
to $300 sales = one small pie
ii.
Every $300 in sales = one normal pie
iii.
3 normal pies can be traded in for one large (roaster) pie
iv.
Scouts can put their normal pies together to earn a large
pie that can be thrown as a team
- Knighting
– The pack will have a surprise knighting ceremony. What will it be this year?
- Pinewood
Derby cars – will be handed out at this meeting. Every scout gets one car
free. Additional cars can
be purchased. The Pinewood
Derby is scheduled for the January pack meeting.
- Space
Derby ships – will be handed out at this meeting. Every scout gets one ship
free. Additional ships can
be purchased. The Space
Derby is tentatively set for the April pack meeting.
- Pack
Points – What are Pack Points? Lets just say that the scouts start earning Pack
Points at this meeting, and just showing up gets them one point! As you read the newsletter you
will find other ways to earn points.
What
to bring to the November 27th meeting
There are only a few things to bring to the meeting.
- Your
popcorn money – This money needs to be turned in at or before this
meeting to keep our checkbook in balance. The scouts did an outstanding job this year, which
also means that a large check has to be sent to the Council to cover the
costs.
- Your
appetite – Pizza will be served. Need I say more?
- Pizza
Oven – We are looking for 2-3 more pizza ovens to use
- Your
uniform – A Pack Point for wearing your uniform.
- Popcorn
Donations – If you are donating any popcorn to the troops
overseas, bring your popcorn to this meeting so we can send it out.
- Brrags
– Do not forget about the Brag table. If you have made something, let everyone else see it!
