Popcorn! How well did you do? Have you sold $300, $600, $1,000, or more? Besides winning cool prizes and raising money for scouting activities, popcorn selling is meant to help teach you presentation skills and get you used to talking to people you do not know. Did you benefit this way also?
Make sure that you bring your popcorn forms in to the pack meeting on October 17th.
Picnic / Mini-Chuckwagon! We had a great turnout for the picnic, and had several activities for the scouts to do (in fact we did not do all of them). Fire-starting was cancelled due to the wind and rain, and the compass course got off to a wet start, but we did not let that stop us from having a good time.
Next year we are talking about having stations that the scouts can go to depending on what type of activity they want to do. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve over this year let me know.
District Chuckwagon! I would like to thank our scouts and leaders that attended the chuckwagon this year. We came away with a second place ribbon for our pack flag. There was good co-operation / teamwork, and plenty of fun. Those who went this year include the following.
Also I would like to thank Tony Becher and Gail Geissinger for the time and effort put into the new chuckwagons. I should take more than the Marshfield School Forest to break these wagons.
